Experienced Leadership for District 2

Mac McQuillin has represented District 2 on the Berkeley County School Board since 2014.

During more than a decade of service, Mac has helped guide the district through continued growth while remaining focused on what matters most: improving academic performance, supporting teachers, keeping schools safe, and using taxpayer dollars responsibly.

Mac has provided leadership in the district’s financial and capital planning efforts, helping oversee school budgets, construction, renovations, and long-term plans for one of South Carolina’s fastest-growing counties. He has also advocated for the facilities and resources needed to support students in Daniel Island, Cainhoy, and the Philip Simmons area.

The results are clear. District 2 schools continue to rank among the strongest in Berkeley County, teacher retention has improved, academic achievement is rising, and the district has made important investments without increasing the overall tax rate.

Mac understands that strong schools require high expectations, qualified teachers, involved parents, safe classrooms, and responsible leadership.

He is running for re-election to build on that progress and continue putting the students and families of District 2 first.
